AquaSecurity goes electric

"The family-owned company AquaSecurity from Aalst is the Belgian specialist in fire protection and detection."

The family-owned company AquaSecurity from Aalst is the Belgian specialist in fire protection and detection. With the purchase of ten brand-new electric forklifts from TVH Equipment, it is now taking a significant step towards even greater efficiency, flexibility, and sustainability.

AquaSecurity specializes in custom fire protection and detection systems in industrial complexes, commercial spaces, and residential buildings. For years, it has rented necessary aerial work platforms and other specialized equipment from TVH Equipment to manage the installation of automatic sprinklers and other fire suppression systems. Until recently, the loading and unloading of the assembly team's trucks were carried out using ten diesel forklifts supplied by us. Conversely, AquaSecurity designed and installed fire protection systems in TVH's buildings in Waregem and also handles all maintenance there.

Major step forward
Now, the harmonious collaboration takes on an additional dimension with the purchase of ten electric forklifts, replacing the outdated diesel-powered machines. "We believe in investing in a cleaner and greener future," says Laura Saelens, CEO of AquaSecurity. "It was clear from the outset that we wanted to switch to electric forklifts. This is a logical step forward for us towards greater sustainability. Needless to say, this significantly reduces our ecological footprint. At the same time, this purchase helps us to better serve our customers."

"The forklift I recommended to AquaSecurity, the EP EFL303, is an extremely reliable machine," explains Tars Peeters, sales representative at TVH Equipment. "With its lifting capacity of 3000 kg, it is a versatile and powerful all-rounder. Despite being one of the shortest forklifts in its class, it effortlessly handles all common tasks. It has a compact turning radius and thanks to its large front wheels, it operates smoothly both indoors and outdoors, even on uneven terrain. The convenient LCD screen is also a major asset. In short, the EP EFL303 is an exceptionally pleasant machine to work with."

Prefer Li-ion
And let's not forget about the 410Ah lithium-ion battery (Li-ion). The major advantage compared to a traditional lead-acid battery is that it offers up to 4 times more charging cycles and requires zero maintenance. In other words, you don't need to daily monitor the water levels in the battery. Additionally, you can recharge it at any time, and it charges much faster than a lead-acid battery.

With all these qualities, AquaSecurity quickly determined that the EP EFL303 forklift was indeed the right choice for them. Laura Saelens says, "The sites where we operate are becoming increasingly larger. It's crucial that we can load and unload our trucks quickly, efficiently, and above all, safely. This machine can and does everything we expect from it. And as always, we can rely on TVH Equipment for routine maintenance and emergency repairs without any issues."

This is a truly valuable development and investment! The use of electric work machines is essentially a requirement nowadays. Of course, based on my experience, even with electric forklifts, fire safety must be a priority, but work processes are significantly smoother. For larger outdoor jobs, you may still see gasoline solutions in Europe, but the market is moving towards electric forklifts. AND that's a good thing and it's only natural. Congratulations on the progress!
