As Head of Installation, Danny Kusters oversees both residential projects and large construction sites. His team determines at an early stage which machines will be required, sometimes as much as six months in advance. “Our projects demand precision, safety, and continuity,” he explains. “We simply cannot afford the risk of equipment arriving late or proving unsuitable. That is why we deliberately choose high-quality, reliable machines and partners who actively think along with us.”

The team carefully evaluates whether scaffolding or an aerial work platform is the best solution. “When you consider the cost, the manpower required to assemble and dismantle scaffolding, and the level of safety you want to provide, an aerial work platform is often simply the better choice. One operator, faster deployment, and much greater flexibility.”

This flexibility is particularly crucial in urban projects. “In cities, space is limited: narrow access routes, restricted setup areas, obstacles such as tram lines... This teamwork also proves valuable when equipment needs to be exchanged. “On one site, we had selected two machines, but one turned out to be too large. I quickly contacted Nathaly, and the very next day a replacement machine was already on site. That responsiveness is incredibly valuable to us.”

Vorsselmans’ projects range from short-term rentals to machines that remain on site for six months or longer. The continuity of these projects therefore depends directly on technical reliability and fast intervention when needed.

“If a breakdown occurs, we are not expecting miracles, but we do need quick assistance. And that is exactly what we get. Sometimes a technician is on site within two to three hours, and on our project in Mouscron, a technician even arrived within the hour. That truly makes a difference.”

Even on larger projects, this level of service is highly appreciated. Contractors sometimes share equipment, project schedules are coordinated together, and machines are often reserved well in advance. “We never work with the cheapest supplier. We choose quality, properly maintained equipment, and reliable delivery. The work simply has to continue, without exception.”

At Vorsselmans, sustainability is an important focus area. The company clearly sees a shift toward more electric machines, particularly for urban projects and rooftop installations. However, when power, reach, or robustness are essential, diesel-powered equipment remains necessary.
